This is a splash-proof LED strip, they are excellent to use in fish tanks, pools, bathroom, on vehicles and in outdoor areas.The IR control driver and the tap transformer are present, they are not waterproof. Please be ware when you connect the strip light to outdoor.Connect the 4-pin connectors of the controller box arrow to the positive ”12V+” of lights.Make sure the lights are connected, and the power light up green bulb.Pull out the transparent chip from the button of the IR remote.Use the IR remote turn on the lights (IR remote aim at the IR receiver).It can be cut every 3 LEDs. Please make sure the power off first, then cut the light strip from the cut marks.And if you cut them, you will need one more power adapter to light the rest strip up
